Orocco Pier and Blackness Castle | Wedding Photography | Ksenia + David
In any particular year as a wedding photographer you’re never really sure where you’re going to end up, location wise. It just so happens this year, for a photographer based in Glasgow, many of my weddings so far have been on the East coast of Scotland, near Edinburgh - which is a nice change of pace! :-D Always lovely to see some funky new (to me!) wedding venues!
Ksenia & David were one of the many couples who had to postpone their wedding a few times due to Covid-19, but I can happily say it was worth the wait! The hottest wedding day of the year so far was counter balanced by howling coastal winds at Blackness Castle; so, photographically speaking, in the plus column we have strong, geometric shadows and a veil that, after seemingly gaining sentience, wanted to make the day all about itself ;-D
After the lovely outdoor ceremony, we took a whistle-stop tour of the castle, then on to a lovely relaxing reception at the Orocco Pier in South Queensferry, which handily happens to have a perfect view of the Forth Rail Bridge. Well…it would just be impolite not to have a few photos of that! ;-D
Congratulations Ksenia & David!
