Montrose St. Glasgow Registry Office | Micro Wedding | Sara + John

This was my last wedding of 2023 and what a way to go! Sara and John were soon to be emigrating to a new life in Australia after maintaining a long distance relationship for the last few years. It was evident just from the short time that I spent with them, what a strong, loving bond they had and how excited they were to be embarking on a new chapter of their lives together. But with that also came the huge emotion of a life in Scotland left behind. As soon as the couple arrived at the Montrose Street registry office in Glasgow, the happy/ sad tears were flowing freely and it was lovely to witness. Weddings are full of lots of cool things for me to photograph, but in essence, right at the heart of it all, I’m there to capture the emotions and the reactions between people wo love each other.

So-called micro weddings have become a popular choice for those couples needing a shorter coverage of service, and Glasgow city centre is an ideal urban backdrop for an interesting photoshoot. It’s amazing what you can achieve in half an hour! ;-D
